Biography

​

Gokhan Bozkurt is an accomplished court lawyer specializing in commercial litigation, criminal, and internal investigations. He also practicing on privacy and cybersecurity matters.

​

Gokhan’s practice covers a wide range of disputes, including commercial litigation, white-collar crimes, internal investigations, administrative law challenges against governmental decision-making before all level of the administrative courts, tax disputes, claims of breach of contract, fraud, bankruptcy litigation, creditor-debt disputes, tax litigation, unfair competition, shareholder disputes, trade mark/patent infringement or invalidation cases, employment litigation, union disputes and enforcement of arbitral awards.

Over 20 years’ experience, Gokhan advised and represented, both as claimants and defendants, for a broad range of clients, including large corporates, private equity houses, financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, automotive giants, and individuals. He has also conducted internal investigations on behalf of multinational companies.

 

​His cases involve a wide range of industry sectors including banking, insurance, automotive, pharmaceutical, mining, technology, oil and gas, manufacturing. He has successfully represented global corporations from all over the world before the Turkish courts in complex commercial disputes and criminal investigations.

 

In the field of investigations, Gokhan has vast experience in handling fraud, bribery and corruption matters, accounting violations and tax investigations on behalf of his clients. He led many internal investigations on behalf of his clients from various countries.

 

Gokhan regularly advise and represent his clients on privacy, data protection and cybersecurity matters.

 

Before founding Bozkurt | Bozkurt, Gokhan was the litigation partner and co-heading both litigation, compliance and investigations departments in a major Turkish firm. Prior to that, Gokhan acted for Turkey’s one of the biggest conglomerates for its litigation matters across Turkey.
